Falkenbergs Laxfiske
Permits for Falkenbergs Laxfiske on the lower Ätran are sold through iFiske. All permits are digital, delivered by email, in the iFiske app and optionally by SMS. The fishery is divided into three beats with different price tiers and rules — Hertingforsen (premium, fly-only), Laxbron–Tullbron (town pools 1–7) and Hålan (lower beat). Reduced-price senior, youth and corporate-season permits are also available on iFiske.
Rules & Regulations
Welcome to Falkenbergs Laxfiske — the lower Ätran salmon fishery covering Hertingforsen, the town beats (Laxbron–Tullbron, pools 1–7) and Hålan.
Children up to 14 fish free of charge. Youth aged 15–18 fish at a discounted rate.
Open season and times
- Open season for salmon and sea trout: 1 April – 30 September.
- Permitted fishing hours: 05:00 – 02:00.
Methods
- Only three methods are allowed: spinning, fly fishing and traditional shrimp bait (räkmete).
- Maximum one rod per angler, with up to two hooks.
- Live bait fish are forbidden.
Minimum size
Salmon and sea trout: minimum 45 cm, measured from nose tip to the tip of the tail fin.
Bag limits
- 1 April – 30 June: max 1 salmon per angler and day.
- 1 July – 30 September: max 2 salmon per angler and day.
- Season quota: max 5 salmon per angler in total.
Beat rules
- Hertingforsen — fly fishing only.
- Pools 1–7 (Laxbron–Tullbron) — alternating spinning / fly rules per pool. Check the on-site signage.
- Hålan — spinning, fly and bait fishing all allowed.
Catch reporting
Mandatory catch reporting — all catches, including released fish, kelts and other species, must be reported via iFiske.
Boat fishing and motors
- Boat fishing is forbidden from Hertingforsen down to just below Tullbron.
- Boat fishing is permitted in Hålan (engines not allowed).
- Boat motors are not allowed anywhere on the fishery.
